'Tejashwini' is a coveted women safety workshop organised by Kolkata Police. Our goal is to teach women basic self-defence techniques to enable them to counter unwanted physical advances.
This year of Tejashwini, is being held as an one hour introductory session to celebrate International Women’s Day 2021.
This year of Tejashwini marks the presence of Shri Avijit Mitra, an internationally trained martial artist, who holds the prestigious position of Chief Instructor and Examiner at Academy of Aikido, India as our chief instructor. Under his tutelage, our participants will gather firsthand knowledge on self defense tactics and strategies. The Tejashwini workshop will make you more aware of your surroundings. You’re never planning to be attacked, but your attacker is the one with the plan. This workshop will help you to be aware at all times and ready, should this type of situation arise.
A five day exercise program to boost your core strength and flexibility. People who exercise regularly have a lower risk of developing many long-term (chronic) conditions, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes and stroke
Gather in depth knowledge in self-defense and protect yourself during emergency. Being able to protect yourself in all situations is a confidence booster as much as it is a reassurance.
